Greene King specifies Qualitair Cellar Coolers

Qualitair ICC products used by Greene KingGreene King is undertaking refurbishment of many of its tenanted public houses and improving cellar management by specifying the installation of cellar coolers manufactured by Eaton-Williams.

The Qualitair range of cellar cooling and storage systems has been selected and are being installed over a three-year period. TS Refrigeration Services an independent contractor secured the initial contract and Eaton-Williams is manufacturing the units to order and supplying them through HRP in Norwich.

Greene King's four key brands are Abbot Ale, IPA, Old Speckled Hen and Ruddles. The company is known for producing traditionally brewed ales and marketing them vigorously. The common factor shared by all is that they need to be stored and served at the correct temperatures.

"Fluctuations in storage temperature can seriously affect the quality and taste of ales and lagers" says John Shuckburgh, a Greene King Sales Development Manager. "A well managed cellar and temperature control is essential." Secondary fermentation needs to happen under the right conditions in order to be able to serve the perfect pint.

Availability and reliability can determine whether a particular product is specified," says Gordon Tonnar Managing Director of TS Refrigeration. "Qualitair's range is robust and built to function in a demanding environment."
