EWPC meets demands for high spec thermoregulators

Following a successful launch, sales are steadily increasing for Eaton-Williams Process Cooling’s (EWPC) range of thermoregulators.

Eaton-Williams Process Cooling’s (EWPC) range of thermoregulatorsThe EWTC range combines high specification and functionality with competitive pricing. It has been designed to specifically address the needs of the plastics industry where close temperature control is required for plastic/rubber injection mould tools, extrusion barrels and any other industrial process that requires precise heating and cooling.

Seven models are available, using the latest controls providing excellent accuracy and stability. The EWTC 09 offers 9kW heating capacity and 20kW cooling capacity. At the top end of the range, the EWTC 72 offers 72kW heating capacity and 167kW cooling capacity.

Heating and cooling
Incoloy heating elements are controlled via solid state switching as standard to maintain desired temperature through 0-100% modulation of heating capacity.

Indirect cooling is provided by in-tank cooling coils on small units and copper brazed stainless steel heat exchangers on the larger models. Direct acting solenoid valves control the water flow according to cooling demands. A coarse water filter is provided as standard.

Range features
Peripheral or centrifugal pumps using non-ferrous materials are fitted across the range to meet all flow and pressure demands. Mould drain systems and reverse pump functions are fitted as standard in units up to 24kW. Audible alarms are standard across the entire range.

Safety issues have been addressed with a thermal overload fitted to the pump motor supply to protect its windings. A low level alarm switch is fitted to the tank to prevent the pump or heaters operating in low water conditions. An over temperature safety thermostat is also fitted to the heater assembly as standard.

All units are manufactured from pre-coated galvanised steel with insulated stainless steel tanks. All components in contact with working fluid are non-ferrous. Lockable castors are fitted for manoeuvrability.

A number of options are available to suit individual requirements including:

  • Alternative controllers
  • Alternative pumps
  • Alternative cooling capacities
  • 60Hz pumps
  • Extended alarm relay
  • Enhanced primary water filter
  • Alternative communication cards for the controller

All models are backed up with Eaton-Williams Process Cooling full after sales and technical support. The company also offers a speedy spare parts service.

Eaton-Williams Process Cooling is part of the Eaton-Williams group of companies. It is solutions-led with the proven capability to design bespoke systems to deliver heating and cooling solutions for specific customers’ needs. These can be based on this range or built to exacting criteria.
