Moducel takes away the heat for boutique hotel
Moducel LKP units are being used at the Hotel du Vin in York to provide general ventilation for the hotel’s kitchen.
Hotel du Vin York is the latest hotel in the eponymous hotel’s portfolio of 11 boutique hotels and is located close to York’s historic city centre. Hotel du Vin York occupies a grade II listed building that dates back to the early 19th century. Formerly a private home, orphanage and most recently the Shepherd Homes building, the hotel offers 44 stylish bedrooms and suites, the HdV trademark Bistro, Bar and private dining rooms, along with a courtyard for alfresco.
The LKP is based on a modular concept that offers a build-to-go approach that combines high efficiency and reliability with value for money.
The two units supplied for Hotel du Vin’s kitchens are custom-built LKP-7s. One unit is for supply, the other for extract, offering air volumes of 2.98m³/s.
A robust profile frame is a hallmark of the LKP’s design which also features double skinned infill panels, minimising frictional losses and providing a positive air seal. The panels are formed from two layers of sheet steel separated by high quality infill material offering excellent thermal and acoustic properties.
The LKP range has been used in a number of high profile projects including The Eden Project and the Ebor Stand at York Racecourse.
