EWPC set to offer more cooling solutions

EWPC are to bring out new productsFollowing another successful year, Eaton-Williams Process Cooling (EWPC) is expanding its portfolio and will be unveiling a number of new products throughout the coming year, targeting IT environments.

First off, the production line will be a range of products specifically engineered to cool high heat density rack mounted equipment such as blade servers and high capacity disk storage systems.

“The systems can generate upwards of 25kW in a single rack” says Mark Luxford, Eaton-Williams’ New Technologies Executive. “In such environments it is absolutely vital to control temperature and humidity levels. Following successful trials with prototype systems, EWPC will be unveiling a complete product offering.”

Advance orders have been received from the US upstream of the official launch that will see a range of products announced. The units focus on heat removal at source and take full advantage of energy efficiency benefits. Engineered to deliver reliable and effective cooling, and complete redundancy, the major advantage is that data centres will not have to upgrade their existing air conditioning systems, thus reducing costs.

Flexibility underpins the range enabling individual units to be installed in isolation or in purposebuilt cabinets.

Later in the year EWPC will be unveiling further products including chillers, cooling distribution units and heat exchangers as part of its programme to deliver a comprehensive range of high performance products to meet the needs of the IT industry.
