eBTA - Fresh Air Cooling Units
The unit has been designed primarily for use in the Telecommunications Industry
for cooling communications switching and
transmission equipment.
The units are available in either Upflow or Downflow and draw air through a purpose made louvre in the wall of the switch room. A plenum is used to duct the inlet air to the unit from the louvre. Details of the plenum would be established during the site survey. The plenum would be supplied and dispatched with the unit for installation on site.
The air from the unit is supplied into a raised floor (downflow unit), free blow header or duct ceiling (upflow unit). The supply air then discharges through a pressure relief damper located in the external faced switch room wall. When the unit is in recirculating mode, the air returns into the top of the unit.
Graded cooling of the room is achieved by the units fan speed control strategy built into the operation of the unit. The control of the unit is achieved with the use of an integral microprocessor with door mounted keypad display.
Key features
- The unit is comprised of separate modules which fasten together to form the finished unit.
- The unit is manufactured from pressed and formed sheet steel to give a rigid construction.
- All metalwork is degreased, primed and finished with a texture paint.
- All doors are hinged and secured with triangle ELDON fasteners.
- The panels and doors are lined with 25mm thick foam for thermal and acoustic insulation.
